We provide spay and neuters, many soft tissue surgical procedures, orthopedic surgery, as well as, Advanced and Specialty Procedures that are available at our facility so that you do not have travel to a referral hospital with your pet

 

Digital imaging allows our doctors to processand view images instantly and with superior image quality that is unavailable with traditional x-ray.

 

Our doctors can manipulate the image to view, magnify, highlight, and diagnose the most subtle abnormalities with more accuracy than traditional x-rays. We are able to email digital images to board certified radiologists for consultation, as well as emailing images and or lab values to our consultant surgeons and internal medicine specialists for fast consultations and referral.

Diagnostic ultrasonography, echo-cardiographs, endoscopy, laser endoscopic surgery, and other procedures that usually require referral to a specialty facility are available at our hospital.

State of the art in house laboratory equipment provides fast diagnostic results that allow us to begin treatment of many conditions at the initial visit.

 

We offer cleaning using state of the art scaling and polishing equipment that is similar to the equipment used at your own dentist’s. Pre anesthetic blood work evaluation and electronic vital sign monitoring help ensure the safety of your pet during dental procedures.

North Country Animal Hospital always has a doctor and a veterinary technician on call 24 hours a day seven days a week, ready to meet you at our North Conway hospital in the event of an emergency with your pet.

North Country Animal Hospital works with a number of consultants and specialists to provide your pet with the best care, by the most qualified doctors, without your having to leave the area. With our advanced electronic diagnostic equipment we are able to quickly transmit images and test results to board certified doctors for consultation and interpretation.

Dr. Julie Smith DVM, DACVA is a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists. She provides our staff with onsite training and review of anesthesia, surgical monitoring and pain management protocols. Dr Smith is available to our staff for individual case management.
